Pitch Perfect

How to research and approach literary agents.

You’ve written a fantastic book.  Now comes the hard part: how do you find a literary agent who will be as passionate about your work as you are?  And how do you persuade them to take you on?

Publishing industry expert Danuta Kean takes you through the A-Z of agent finding including understanding their role, what you can learn from the list of authors they represent, the truth about slush piles, how to present your work and write a covering letter (without clichés). Plus find out how to create your writer’s CV and use it effectively.

Plus a practical workshop with the opportunity for you to draft or revise your pitch letter. There will also be useful detours around the value of editorial consultancies and how to deal constructively with rejection.
