Spread the Word and Coney – an agency of adventure which is live, responsive, interactive and participatory – collaborate for the first time this summer on an innovative workshop for writers. At the heart of every Coney project is a story that is revealed to the audience through both online and real world interactions and which can be directly influenced by their actions and decisions.

The workshop will be rewarding and fun for beginner to advanced writers.
In the lead-up to the workshop you will receive instructions and writing tasks by email from Coney, then meet your fellow writers in a secret location in central London for the adventure and creative workshop.

So what can you expect from joining this adventure?

First, you’ll embark on an individual writing relationship with Coney and Spread the Word to start and develop the adventure online in the weeks leading up to the event. On the morning of the event we will reveal an adventure that participants have created themselves in collaboration with Coney and the other writers taking part. The workshop in the afternoon will reveal how it was all done, outlining specific techniques and also demonstrating how technology can be used in writing and adventure creation.

And finally, this journey opens up the possibility to taking part as writers in future Spread the Word and Coney collaborations.

Places are limited to 15 and we are looking forward to running the event with a range of writers. In order to take part in the Writing Adventure please email annette@spreadtheword.org.uk with a 500 word answer to either one of the following:

"My perfect adventure" or "Is gravity responsible for falling in love?"

Please send your application submission by no later than noon on Friday 4 June - we will confirm places and take payment for the event during the week beginning 14 June when your writing adventure begins!
