With Shaun Levin*

A practical creative writing workshop looking at the sea in our personal and cultural lives. From fairy tales with mermaids or selkies, historical realities such as middle passage and the spice trade, as well as immigration, dreams, hunky sailors, and sunny beaches, we'll explore through writing, reading and stoytelling ways to use the sea as reality and metaphor in prose and poetry. The workshop will also include a visit to Museum of London Docklands' 'London, Sugar and Slavery' exhibition.
