In this one-day masterclass, participants will have the opportunity to work with poet, critic, and editor, Kayo Chingonyi on editing poems for publication.
You will learn how you can make poetry submissions the very best they can be from the poem itself to your accompanying cover letter. The session will look at poetry magazine publication works to inform this process and learn tips to help your poem reach the top of the submissions pile.
You will also do a number of exercises to set editing in its proper context as a continually evolving process which is centred on conveying as well as possible whatever a particular poem, or set of poems, is trying to do.
