The London Short Story Prize 2018 is open for entries and this year we’re offering 50 free entries to low-income writers.
This year’s judges are authors Guy Gunaratne, Claire Fisher and literary agent, Sarah Such. The winner of the London Short Story Prize 2018 will receive £1,000 and a meeting with an agent. Two highly commended authors will receive £250 and a meeting with an editor. Further prizes include spaces on Spread the Word courses, and membership to the London Writers Network.
To apply for a free entry to this year’s prize please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, postcode and a short paragraph on why you are eligible for a free entry along with supporting documentation, for example, a benefits letter or working tax credits statement.
Eligible writers have until the 30th July to apply for a free entry. However, we recommend applying earlier as these entries are offered on a first come, first served basis. Successful applicants will have until 5pm on 17 September (same as the general submissions guidelines) to submit their story into the competition.
Please note, if successful you can only submit one free entry into the competition. Additional stories will need to submitted via the general entry (£8 per entry).
