SCHOOLS AND YOUNG WRITERS

Spread the Word is committed to young writers and to working in schools.

Since 1995, we have placed a range of novelists and poets in schools, arts centres, colleges and libraries in South and West London. They have been chosen for their experience in workshop facilitation and the particular skills and know-how they bring to the project. Often they have specialised in a particular area of creative writing and the arts eg. writing for the stage, poetry or short fiction.

Spread the Word is committed to using writers who offer a tailored approach to education and outreach. Many work in the education sector, which informs their knowledge of current curriculum practice and enables them to devise stimulating and relevant sessions.
