D.I.Y Mentoring
Talk, Q&A & Drinks Reception
Mentors. Everyone wants one but just how do you get one? How does the mentor-mentee relationship work once you’ve committed? And what if you don’t like them?!
To celebrate the publication of The Write Guide: Mentoring Spread the Word has teamed up with New Writing North to bring you all you ever wanted to know about mentoring. Ask your questions, get some answers, and go away with ideas of how to set up your own mentoring relationship. Martin Goodman, co-author of The Write Guide, will join an experienced panel of mentors to talk about personal experiences of mentoring and the issues around it, as well as giving advice on how to get started.
To round off the evening, there will be a free drinks reception, with the opportunity to meet other writers and get your hands on your own copy of the book!
In partnership with New Writing North. New Writing North is based in the north east of England. They work with writers from different genres and forms to develop career opportunities, new commissions, projects, residencies, publications and live events. For more go to www.newwritingnorth.com
