NOW AND THEN

A one day creative writing workshop on memoirEveryone has a story to tell. Your experiences, your feelings, ideas, thoughts, and dreams all combine to form your life and your journey. This is your story. Whether a life is unconventional or relatively normal, there is always something that other people will want to read. Memoir ? everyday people telling their tales ? has become a popular phenomenon.

In this one day workshop you will be introduced to approaches which focus on your life stories, give them literary purpose, and apply such craft elements as character, plot, description, setting, pacing, and theme.

Whether you are an active memoir writer or putting your thoughts to paper for the first time, this course will incorporate useful techniques for writing your story.
