This Is Our Place nature writing workshops open for booking

This Is Our Place, our nature writing project celebrating London’s wildlife, nature and the diverse communities of the city through words, in partnership with London Wildlife Trust, is offering eight nature writing workshops, which are now open for bookings. Four workshops will run in-person, and four will run online.
Workshop attendees who are based in London, and from backgrounds underrepresented in publishing, are welcome and encouraged to submit to the This Is Our Place nature writing competition.

This is Our Place in-person workshops

  • all free;

  • only one place per person at the in-person workshops due to limited availability;

  • for Londoners from backgrounds underrepresented in publishing, including but not limited to: Disabled, LGBTQIA+, Working class,Writers of colour (Black, Asian, Arab, Mixed-Raced and Non-white Latinx);

  • All take place at London Wildlife Trust sites and adhere to COVID guidelines and good practice.

This Is Our Place online workshops

  • all free to attend;

  • you are welcome to book onto as many of the online workshops as you like subject to avaibility;

  • run on Zoom;
  • These workshops are for anyone who would like to attend, but it is particularly focused towards Londoners from backgrounds underrepresented in publishing, including but not limited to: Disabled, LGBTQIA+, Working class, Writers of colour (Black, Asian, Arab, Mixed-Raced and Non-white Latinx).
